Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Lower KS2)
Salary details: R1B/6-10 £23,297-£24,223 per annum pro rata (dependent on experience)
Contract type: Fixed Term until August 2026
Hours: Monday and Tuesday 9am - 3:30pm
Wednesday 9am - 12:10pm
Closing date: 14/11/2025
Overview: The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant for Lower KS2. The role will be a minimum of 15 hours a week and may include lunch duties. The role is varied and will involve working with children on a one to one basis and within small groups

About the role: To provide support to teachers in the management of pupils' learning.
1 a) DUTIES
Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, SENCO and class teachers
Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, first-aid and welfare matters
Prepare classrooms and clear afterwards and assist with the display of pupils' work
Provide clerical/admin support, e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, collecting money, record keeping
Assist with the planning and delivery of learning activities
Accompany teachers and pupils on out-of-school activities and take responsibility for a group, under the direction of a teacher
Undertake playground duties

The jobholder is required to contribute to and support the overall aims and ethos of the school.
All staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities, and in performance management and development, as required by the school's policies and practice.
Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance.
