What is FOSMs? (Friends of St. Mary’s)
We are the Parents & Teachers Association (PTA) of St Mary's School. We are made up of parents, carers and teachers and we run social and fundraising events for the school. Over the year we organise a variety of activities - some for adults, some for children and some for families. Some of the things we do raise substantial amounts for school, others are done purely for fun!
All the money raised goes directly back to the school to the benefit of all the children within the school.
Our ‘free money’ Scheme
Supermarket Voucher Scheme
The Supermarket Voucher Scheme is our biggest fundraiser and it's FREE! Contributing to the scheme is as easy as 1, 2 3!!! You buy vouchers - through FOSMS - for Tesco, Sainsbury, John Lewis and use them in store instead of cash. By buying them through this scheme FOSMS get a huge commission!
Contact Angela Spicer who co-ordinates this scheme via the PTA post box or catch her in the playground.

Our Events
The events we hold are varied - children's events, such as Circus Skills or Magician Day; adult evenings such as the Quiz Night, fashion event or a tribute band and family days such as the Christmas Fayre and weekend camping.
All these events are a great way to socialise and get to know other families away from the playground. So look out for the notes in the book bag or parentmail for more information and dates of events.
There are so many ways parents can help
Come along to our events, donate a raffle prize, put some time to helping with one of the socials, bake a cake for the cake stall, delight your child by being a helper on a stall at one of our fetes or fayres... There are lots of ways to join in and have some fun whilst supporting an extremely good cause.
New to St Mary's?
We are always on the lookout for new ideas for events and fundraisers. Is there something from your previous school or nursery that you particularly enjoyed? We would love to hear from you - come along and bring new ideas to one of our meetings (held each half term) or drop a note into the silver PTA box outside the school office.
